The chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for South Korea and the United States Generals Park Han-ki and Mark Milley will meet in Seoul in the coming hours to discuss the security situation on the Korean Peninsula and other pending issues.
The results of the Military Committee Meeting will be shared at the Security Consultative Meeting set for Friday at South Korea's Defense Ministry.
High on the agenda at today's meeting will be Seoul's decision to terminate its military intel-sharing pact with Japan.
Washington wants South Korea to change its mind before the pact, known as GSOMIA, expires on November 23rd.
They're also expected to discuss shared defense costs and the transfer of wartime operational control from Washington to Seoul.
