Hyundai Motorsport has sealed the World Rally Championship's manufacturer's title for the first time.
Hyundai Motor Company announced today that its rally team won the title as the final round of the 2019 season in Australia was canceled amid concerns over rapidly spreading bushfires.
Hyundai Motorsport claimed the title with an 18-point lead over the defending champion Toyota Gazoo Racing after the last round in Spain.
The company said the Hyundai i20 Coupe performed competitively on all terrain types.
The title is the first for Hyundai Motorsport since it first entered the World Rally Championship six years ago.
