S. Korea-U.S. combined flying training to proceed as planned: Pentagon

The Pentagon has confirmed that South Korea and the U.S. will be proceeding with a military drill this winter in some form.
In an email to Voice of America on Monday...., Pentagon Spokesman Dave Eastburn said... the two sides will hold the "Combined Flying Training Event" as scheduled.
He did not elaborate, however, on whether the "Vigilant Ace air exercise" will go ahead... as usual around December.
South Korean media have widely reported that the allies are looking at once again postponing or scaling down Vigilant Ace to try revive denuclearization dialogue with North Korea.
Seoul's defense ministry has said it's working closely with the U.S. to finalize plans for it.
