Hyundai Motor, Samsung, and LG among top 10 firms to have most self-driving patents

It's been found that Hyundai Motor, Samsung Electronics, and LG Electronics are among the ten global companies with the most patents related to self-driving technology.
According to Berlin-based market intelligence platform IPlytics , Hyundai Motor holds 3-hundred-69 self-driving technology patents,... landing sixth on the list.
It's the highest number among South Korean companies and the fourth highest among global automakers.
Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics each have over 3-hundred-50 patents, putting them both on seventh.
The company with the most self-driving patents is Japanese auto giant Toyota.... with one-thousand-1-hundred-43, more than all the South Korean companies combined.
Second on the list was Ford,... followed by General Motors.
IPlytics said that, in terms of technology standards for self-driving cars,... 27 percent have been suggested by LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, and Chinese tech giant Huawei.
