President Moon invites foreign diplomats based in Seoul to Blue House
  • 5 years ago
President Moon Jae-in will meet Seoul-based foreign diplomats at the Blue House this afternoon,... where he's expected to rally support for his administration's peace drive on the Korean Peninsula.
It will be the first time President Moon meets all the diplomats at once, after around two and a half years in office.
Such events used to be held regularly under previous administrations.
The Blue House explained it was delayed due to the president's busy schedule and overseas trips.
President Moon is likely to ask for cooperation in advancing peace and denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula.
It's unclear whether the Japanese ambassador will attend.
But according to a Blue House official, even if he does,... it would be difficult for the president to deliver a message regarding Seoul-Tokyo relations.
