Carcinogens found in KBO merchandise: KCA

Official merchandise of the Korea Baseball Organization have been found to contain high levels of harmful chemicals.
The Korea Consumer Agency did safety checks on dozens of products, such as thunder sticks and gloves, and found large traces of heavy metals and phthalates - a group of chemicals used to make plastic soft and malleable.
They are known to interfere with the body's hormones, which can hinder children's growth, and they have even been linked to cancer.
The agency says related stores have stopped selling such products.
