The Shinzo Abe administration has shown little to no regret over Japan's wartime atrocities, including forced labor and sex slavery.
But some leaders in Japan are criticizing such attitude.
At a special lecture delivered in Busan,... the country's former Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama( ) highlighted that Tokyo should feel apologetic to the victims until they say no more apologies are needed.
He added that as victims, they've gone through experiences that can never be forgotten.
On forced labor, renowned Japanese author, Keiichiro Hirano( ) criticized Japan's media for instigating anti-Korean sentiment in the general public, and emphasized the need to first read the full script of the forced labor ruling delivered by Korea's Supreme Court,... before saying anything against it.
