Trump defends decision to pull U.S. troops back from Syrian-Turkish border

U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to destroy Turkey's economy...if Turkey goes "off limits."
This came after his unexpected decision to pull U.S. forces out of Syria.
Firing off a flurry of tweets on Monday, Trump justified his decision that could possibly open ways for Turkey to launch an attack on Kurdish fighters across the border.
His comments are seen as a move to calm the much criticized withdrawal.
Critics, in fact, noted that the withdrawal could facilitate an ISIS resurgence and allow Turkey to attack Kurdish forces.
Kurdish forces were America's key allies in defeating the Islamic State in Syria.
As of last month, around 1-thousand U.S. troops were operating in northeastern Syria.
