U.S. President Donald Trump welcomed the joint venture between Korea's Hyundai Motor Group and Aptiv.
Trump tweeted that the four billion U.S. dollar partnership is "BIG NEWS",... saying great jobs are coming back to the U.S.
Last week, the two firms announced plans to set up a joint venture that will advance the design, development, and commercialization of autonomous driving technologies.
The two companies decided to take a 50% share each, with Hyundai investing some two billion dollars in the joint venture that will be established in the city of Boston, U.S., as early as next year.
