PM Lee calls for thorough efforts to tackle ASF, prepare for Typhoon Mitag

South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon has called on the government and related agencies to do everything they can to prevent the spread of African swine fever.
There have been no new cases over the past few days, but he stressed the authorities still need to stay vigilant.
He also told authorities to stay alert for other diseases, such as Avian Influenza and Foot and Mouth Disease, which often break out as the weather gets cooler.
Regarding the approaching Typhoon Mitag, Lee called for extra care to prevent damage to farms and to deal with any other possible accidents.
