Learn how to make Rich and Tasty Bengal Famous 'पनीर जलेबी - Paneer Jalebi' or Chanar Jalebi with our chef Sonali Raut.

Paneer Jalebi is also called as Chanar Jalebi, Chhena jalebi, Chhena jilap, which is a sweet dish originally from coastal Odisha in eastern India, a state known for desserts made of chhena. Its popularity has spread beyond coastal Odisha and Eastern regions of the Indian subcontinent such as Bengal, where Paneer Jalebi has its own twist and people admire it by making it during weddings, functions and having this delight after lunch/dinner.

Ingredients for Syrup:
- 1 cup Sugar
- Saffron
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
- Food Color(yellow)
- 1/2 Lemon Juice

Ingredients for Paneer Jalebi:
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp Corn Flour
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- Baking Soda
- Water
- 250 gms Paneer(grated)
- Ghee

Method:
1. Heat a pan and add sugar, water to it
2. Let it melt, and then, add saffron to it
3. Now, add green cardamom powder, yellow food color, lemon juice and boil it till you get a thick consistency
4. Once you get that consistency, turn off the flame
5. Now in a large bowl take all-purpose flour, cornflour, baking powder, baking soda
6. Mix it all together, and make its smooth paste with the help of water
7. Take paneer in a mixing bowl, and grind it to a thin paste
8. Now add this paneer paste into the other smooth paste, and mix it
9. Put this mixture into the piping bag
10. Now, pipe this round into a pan with hot ghee, over a low flame
11. Add these Jalebis into the syrup for around 2-10 minutes
12. After 10 minutes, take it out and garnish it with some almond & pistachio flakes
