The chairman of South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff will be in the U.S. next week to attend a change of command ceremony for his American counterpart.
General Park Han-ki... will meet both the outgoing General Joseph Dunford and the incoming General Mark Milley to discuss the Seoul-Washington alliance and the situation on the Peninsula.
The U.S. will also organize a trilateral meeting with Park's Japanese counterpart, Koji Yamazaki, after the event.
This will be the first time a trilateral meeting is held since Seoul's decision in August to terminate an intel-sharing agreement with Tokyo.
