Most Japanese people support decision to remove S. Korea from trade whitelist: Mainichi Shimbun

The Japanese newspaper Mainichi Shimbun reported on Monday that most Japanese people support Tokyo's decision to take South Korea off its whitelist of trusted trading partners.
At the same time, it said most Japanese people want to see dialogue to resolve the trade dispute.
In a nationwide poll last week, sixty-four percent of the people surveyed said they support South Korea's removal from Japan's trade whitelist.
Fifty-seven percent, with some overlap, said Tokyo needs to engage South Korea diplomatically over the issue.
Japan took Korea off its trade whitelist in late August.
