Seoul ranks 6th in groceries index

The Korean capital Seoul has the 6th most expensive grocery prices in the world... higher than New York and Tokyo.
This is according to global database Numbeo that analyzes the grocery prices of 377 cities, comparing staple items like a carton of milk and a loaf of bread.
Seoul stands at 101 points, roughly 5% higher than New York, and it was up nine notches from last year.
New York and Tokyo were placed 7th and 15th respectively.
The five cities with the most expensive groceries were all in Switzerland, with Zurich topping the list.
Seoul ranks 26th in terms of cost of living overall,... making the top 10% of the most expensive cities to live in.
