Seoul and Washington will soon begin negotiations to decide South Korea's share of defense costs for maintaining the 28-thousand U.S. troops stationed in the country.
According to the foreign ministry,... the 11th round of talks could begin as soon as late September.
The allies are believed to be working to fix specific dates.
Back in March,... they agreed on a deal where Korea pays 869-million U.S. dollars -- up 8 percent from the previous year.
But that deal only runs until 2019.
The talks would come amid increasing pressure from Washington for Seoul to pay more.
President Trump has repeatedly called on allies, including South Korea,... to increase their share of costs.
His latest remarks came on Thursday in Baltimore,... that allies sometimes treat the U.S. "worse than anybody else."
