South Korea and the U.S. are set to begin another round of negotiations in Hawaii for defense cost-sharing from Tuesday to Thursday, local time.
Before leaving South Korea on Tuesday, Seoul's newly-appointed top negotiator Jeong Eun-bo said he will ensure Seoul makes a "reasonable and equitable" financial contribution to the U.S.
The negotiations on the 11th Special Measures Agreement will decide how much Seoul needs to pay next year for the upkeep of over 28-thousand U.S. forces stationed on South Korean soil.
The agreement for 2019 called for South Korea to pay 886 million U.S. dollars,... an increase of 8-point-2 percent from the previous year.
