Two Koreas discuss through AFC about holding World Cup qualifier in Pyeongyang on Oct. 15

It looks like South Korea's national soccer team lead by Paulo Bento will face North Korea in Pyeongyang next month for a World Cup qualifier.
Hopes are high on whether the match could help revive inter-Korean dialogue, as continued discussion is inevitable between the two Koreas leading up to the match.
Kim Hyo-sun reports.
The two Koreas are discussing through the Asian Football Confederation about holding a World Cup qualifier in Pyeongyang next month.
Seoul's unification ministry said Monday that they could also discuss the possibility of sending a South Korean cheering squad to the North,... which could eventually lead to dialogue between the two Koreas.
"We have not yet been able to confirm the North's specific response, but I believe that there could be further discussions about sending South Korea's cheering squad."
The ministry also said that the Korean Football Association is discussing details regarding players and broadcasting with its North Korean counterpart.
Last month, North Korea expressed its intention to host the match at Pyeongyang's Kim Il-sung stadium,... after the two Koreas were placed in the same group for the second round of qualification for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The match, if it takes place as planned in Pyeongyang on October 15th,... will mark the first time that the two Koreas will play a World Cup qualifier in North Korea.
During the qualification rounds for the 2010 World Cup,... South Korea played its two away matches against North Korea in China,... because Pyeongyang requested the games to be held in a third country.
It's yet to be seen whether the October match could revitalize the stalled inter-Korean dialogue,... following a lack of progress in denuclearization negotiations between Pyeongyang and Washington.
