Chiefs of S. Korea-U.S. defense cost sharing talks meet in Seoul on Tuesday

A meeting was held on Tuesday to prepare for the upcoming defense cost sharing negotiations between Seoul and Washington.
According to South Korea's foreign ministry, the heads of the previous round of negotiations, Chang Won-sam... and Timothy Betts, held closed door talks in Seoul.
They reportedly exchanged views on how to carry out the 11th round of the Special Measures Agreement Consultation and related matters.
They won't be involved in the next round of talks,... as new chief negotiators are said to be currently under review.
South Korea paid nearly 858-million U.S. dollars in 2019 for its share of stationing the roughly 28-thousand U.S. troops on the peninsula.
