Gov't to spend some US$ 14 bil. on social overhead capital H2 to boost construction

South Korea's finance minister says the government will promptly start spending on social overhead capital in the second half of 2019 to revitalize the domestic economy.
In the ministerial meeting on Wednesday, Hong Nam-ki said the government will spend nearly 14-billion U.S. dollars on public housing, roads and railroads.
The government also plans to enhance productivity and safety in the construction sector by promoting research and development for smart construction technology.
He also said more regulations will be eased to help the building sector.
