Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says... Washington is doing "exactly" what President Trump had promised North Korean leader Kim Jong-un,... regarding joint South Korea-U.S. military exercises.
Pompeo's remarks come in response to a warning by North Korea's foreign ministry,... saying working-level nuclear talks will be affected, IF Seoul and Washington go ahead with their joint drills planned for August.
Pompeo said that he hopes for... and is also confident of continuing dialogue with North Korea.
He also stressed that Kim Jong-un had made a commitment... and that the U.S. is ready to go if North Korea puts a working-level team back together.
He said if talks move forward,... it would likely happen in the next two to three weeks, but dates have yet to be announced.
