Japan's restrictions have apparently brought confusion to the Japanese businesses as well.
The right-wing Japanese newspaper Sankei Shimbun, on Friday, cited local companies subject to the restrictions,... including Stella Chemifa Corporation and Morita Chemical Industries Company,... as saying they're not sure how long it'll take to get approval to send materials to Korea.
Shares of Stella Chemifa are down nearly 6 percent so far this month.
Citing analysts, the report said the impact of the measure might be limited for now... but in the long-term a fall in production of Samsung semiconductors... Apple and Huawei's smartphones... could hurt the earnings of Japanese companies.
