South Korea's top nuclear envoy, Lee Do-hoon, says he's hopeful that the denuclearization talks between North Korea and the U.S. will resume in the coming weeks.
Ahead of his trip to Germany, Lee told reporters that U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo mentioned that such working-level talks would come in that time frame.
But, Lee declined to comment on where the talks would take place, saying he thinks that's one of the issues being discussed between the two sides.
Lee is scheduled to meet with his U.S. counterpart Stephen Biegun in Germany this week, but there are said to be no plans of any meetings with North Korean officials there.
