The total value of online shopping in South Korea hit another record high in May thanks to an increase in food delivery orders and sales of home appliances.
Statistics Korea says online transactions in May hit 9-point-six billion U.S. dollars, up nearly 20 percent on-year.
That's the highest figure since the agency began tallying the figure in 2001.
Statistics Korea attributed the rise to more food delivery orders by Korea's growing number of one-person households and sales of electronics goods like air conditioners.
