Mastercard has canceled a planned advertising campaign featuring Brazilian soccer star Neymar due to a recent rape accusation made against him.
Mastercard said in a statement Thursday that it will suspend advertisements featuring Neymar until he's cleared from the allegation.
The woman accused him of raping her last month in a Paris hotel and appeared on Brazilian TV Wednesday for her first on-camera interview.
Neymar has posted a minute long video on his official Instagram account denying the allegation and accusing the woman of trying to extort him.
