South Korea's economy is expected to grow at a slower than expected pace this year... due to sluggish exports and domestic demand.
The Korea Economic Research Institute projected a 2-point-2 percent growth this year, a drop of 0-point-2 percentage points from its previous outlook.
It's also down by that amount compared to the estimates set by the Korea Development Institute and the OECD.
KERI also lowered the export growth rate to 1-point-4 percent from the previous 2-point-9.
Overall trade conditions are also expected to worsen because of the trade conflict between the U.S. and China, among other issues.
