U.S. President Trump says trade talks with Tokyo are going well,... during his four-day state visit to Japan.
On Sunday, Trump tweeted that there's "great progress" being made on trade negotiations with Japan,... particularly on agriculture.
He said more details would be ironed out after Japan's July elections,... after which he expects (quote) "big numbers."
The U.S. leader is currently on the second day of his visit to Japan,... and spent Sunday morning with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe playing golf,... before their summit talks on Monday.
The two leaders are also scheduled to watch a sumo match and spend the evening together at a local barbeque restaurant.
Trump will wrap up his visit by meeting Emperor Naruhito on Monday to pay his respects.
He is the first head of government to make a state visit to Japan,... since Emperor Naruhito was crowned earlier this month.
