U.S. President Donald Trump has signaled China wants to make a deal with the United States over their trade disputes.
Speaking at the White House Friday, Trump said China recently sent a long list of items they are willing to negotiate.
It reportedly contains 142 items,... but President Trump said he cannot accept the list for now,... as some major items are missing and more discussions are needed.
He said an additional 267 billion dollars of tariffs could be imposed on Chinese goods,... if necessary.
But he also hinted the U.S. might not impose the tariffs, if a satisfactory deal is reached.
Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are expected to meet at the G20 Summit in Argentina at the end of this month.
