남북 민간단체, 이번주 중국 선양서 접촉... 북측이 먼저 요청

South and North Korean civic groups are set to meet this week for the first time since the North Korea-U.S. summit in Hanoi.
That's according to the South Korean committee set up to carry out the agreements of last year's June 15th Declaration.
The committee and two South Korean civic groups will meet with their North Korean counterparts in the Chinese city of Shenyang.
They're expected to discuss joint projects, the repatriation from Japan of the remains of Koreans forced to work there during Japan's colonial rule of Korea, and the provision of humanitarian aid to the North.
The meeting was requested by the North Korean committee in a letter... in which it called for cooperation on ways to achieve peace and prosperity.
