Summery weather with high UV rays and strong ozone
  • 5 years ago
Good afternoon, most areas will need to brace for a mini heat wave over next few days. Korea's southeastern city of Daegu will notice highs soaring to 33 degrees by Friday.
Lots of sun will boost UV rays to very high levels for the entire nation. Ozone levels will also be high in most areas, while air quality will be bad in the capital and Chungcheong-do Provinces.
By the afternoon, highs will range between 24 and 29 degrees. Dress lightly and drink plenty of water.
Seoul and many of the upper regions are still suffering from severe drought this month with a drought watch in place. Despite last weekend's showers, this May, Seoul has only received 30 percent of the rain it usually sees in a typical May. Rain is in store next Monday though... so hopefully that will improve the situation.
That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.
