U.S. President Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe... have agreed to maintain sanctions pressure on North Korea,... according to U.S. Ambassador to Japan, William Hagerty.
During their two-day summit in Washington,... the two leaders are also said to have agreed on the need for close coordination... with each other and South Korea... to achieve the denuclearization of North Korea.
Abe also thanked Trump for raising the issue of Japanese abductees held captive by the North,... during the U.S. President's summit with Kim Jong-un in Hanoi.
Among other issues they discussed,... the two leaders also reaffirmed their common desire... to stop oil imports from Iran.
