Four parties approve deal to fast track key bills on electoral reform, investigative body

South Korea's ruling Democratic Party and three minor opposition parties have designated two key reform bills as fast track legislation.
Their floor leaders had agreed on Monday to fast track bills on electoral reform to boost proportional representation... and to create a body to investigate high-ranking government and public officials.
The fast-track measure prevents bills that fail to get bipartisan support... from being stuck in parliament for too long.
The main opposition Liberty Korea Party -- which is not part of the agreement -- has vowed to resist,... saying the parties involved in the deal have given up on parliamentary democracy.
