South Korea's Finance Minister says the government will permit sales of health functional foods at large supermarkets and department stores.
At a meeting of economic-related ministers on Wednesday, Hong Nam-ki said the government has eased 31 regulations on new industries and new technologies to enable sales of health functional foods at local stores.
In addition, the government will develop the nuclear-decommissioning industry.
The trade ministry says it will nurture know-how and technology from the country's atomic energy phase out plan, and aim to grab ten percent of the world's nuclear-decommissioning market by 2035.
The global industry is estimated to be around 480 billion U.S. dollars.
