Gov't holds safety-focused event to mark 5th anniversary of Sewol-ho ferry disaster

In the days after the Sewol-ho ferry sinking,... the previous administration designated April 16th as National Safety Day... to help build a safer country.
To mark the fifth anniversary of the sinking... and National Safety Day, an event was held this morning at the government complex in Sejong City.
Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon gave a speech remembering those who died.
It was attended by officials, civic groups and ordinary citizens.
Some 3-hundred government officials,.... members of civic groups and citizens attended the event,... and they pledged to ensure safety in schools, workplaces and transportation.
