Gov't holds safety-focused event to mark 5th anniversary of Sewol-ho ferry disaster

In the days after the Sewol-ho ferry sinking,... the former government designated April 16th as National Safety Day... to learn lessons from the disaster and make a safer country.
And marking the fifth anniversary of the deadly sinking.... and National Safety Day..., a government-led event was held this morning at the government complex in Sejong City.
Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon gave a speech remembering the 3-hundred-4 people killed in the disaster.
Some 3-hundred government officials,.... members of civic groups and citizens attended the event.
They pledged to ensure safety in schools, workplaces and transportation in Korea.
