The amount of foreign direct investment into South Korea fell sharply in the first quarter of this year.
The trade ministry says FDI was down more than 35 percent on-year to to 3-point-2 billion U.S. dollars.
By sector, the services saw the biggest drop of 42-and-a-half percent..., mainly on falling investment in property.
FDI has been falling globally because of risks such as the U.S.-China trade war and slow economic growth.

The trade ministry said it's flowing into advanced materials, next-generation communications, nanotech and ceramics.
