The house of former president Chun Doo-hwan in Seoul was finally auctioned for roughly 4-point-5 million U.S. dollars, after the bid failed five times.
The transaction is expected to be finalized on Sunday once the buyer pays the price, but it could also be delayed as Chun has filed a lawsuit against the public auction itself.
In 1997, the disgraced leader was sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of almost 200-million dollars for charges of treason and bribery.
But he still hasn't paid about 90-million dollars, almost 47-percent of the total amount.
