The presidential office, government, and ruling party officials have agreed to set up a national education committee under the presidential office by the end of the year.
The committee will be tasked with drawing up ten-year plans for South Korea's education system.
It'll consist of 19 members -- five chosen by the President, eight by the National Assembly and six by related ministries.
They'll serve three-year-terms regardless of a change in government.
The National Assembly will submit a related bill to the floor by April... with the hope of getting it approved within the first half of this year.
