LG Group ranks 48th in reputation of global firms

Korean smartphone and display maker LG has been ranked 48th in the world in terms of corporate reputation and credibility.
In the annual survey by the Reputation Institute, called RepTrak 100,... it beat out American giants Amazon and Apple... which were in 56th and 57th places, respectively.
Luxury watchmaker Rolex and toy producer Lego maintained their first and second place standings.
The institute pointed out that information technology firms did not fare well this year due to slowing demand.
The RepTrak findings are used as reference for consumers and investors.
Meanwhile, Korea's biggest conglomerate, Samsung Group, ranked 52nd this year.
