President Trump has reaffirmed his close ties with the North Korean leader... a day after he walked away from a deal.
He took to Twitter on Friday to say he had "very substantive negotiations with Kim Jong-un," adding they well understood each other's demands.
Trump stressed their relationship is very good and expressed hope going forward.
During an interview with Fox News the previous day, President Trump said he wanted total denuclearization,... while Kim was only willing to give up specific areas.
He also admitted both he and Kim were not prepared enough to come up with a satisfactory deal in Hanoi.
