News X: Food Security Bill likely in Parliament on Wednesday

NEW DELHI: The ordinance on Food Security bill is expected to come up for consideration in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, sources said here today.
The ordinance on the ambitious scheme was signed by President Pranab Mukherjee exactly a month ago.
The bill seeks to give nation's three-fourth population the right to get 5 kg of foodgrains every month at highly subsidised rates of Rs 1-3 per kg.
