Aakash2 tablet: Tuli defends made-in-China tag - NewsX

For all those of us who were told it's an Indian innovation and were later disappointed to hear that a large part of it was actually made in China. It turns out that Aakash-2 is actually a global story. Suneet Singh Tuli the CEO of the manufacturing firm Datawind said this in the US, where the Aakash2 tablet was unveiled at the U.N. headquarters by Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, terming the controversy as "sensationalism". Tuli said, "I am proud that the motherboard and kitting is done in China. China and India are neighbours. China is part of the global community. In my mind there is no controversy".
