Mocking the criticism over PM's Rs 7700 per plate dinner party Congress spokesperson Renuka Choudhary has made a bizzare comment. She said its the necessity of the occasion and if its considered to be extravagant then we should not hold any celebration at all. NewsX reported on Thursday how an RTI query has revealed that the Prime Minister's 3rd anniversary bash for the UPA-II govt had cost the exchequer nearly 8,000 rupees a plate..The revelation came just days after Dr Manmohan Singh addressed the nation saying 'money does not grow on trees' to justify the fuel subsidy cut and his reforms push..This only highlighted how the govt has double standards..one for itself..and quite another of the aam admi who's expected to survive on 32 rupees a day..
