Jalandhar building collapse: Worker rescued after 75 hours - NewsX

An 18-year-old school dropout from Bihar became another miracle survivor of the building collapse when he was pulled out by rescuers a good 75 hours after the accident took place. Nitesh had left his studies due to family circumstances, and was working in the carpet factory to support himself and his kin. On Wednesday, teenager Sanjeev had been taken out of the rubble miraculously. Meanwhile, the death toll in the incident has gone upto 14. Ten bodies have been taken out of the rubble so far. District Magistrate Priyank Bharti said four more bodies can be seen but are yet to be extricated. Sixty-two people have been rescued, including one on Thursday and 10 bodies have been retrieved from the debris, he said.
