U.S. disappointed with outcome of Hanoi summit, but sees it as meaningful: Official

While the United States is disappointed with the outcome of Thursday's summit, they reportedly see it as meaningful.
This according to an official familiar with the ongoing North Korea-U.S. talks.
He said both sides were able to further understand each others' stances, and they made progress in narrowing their difference in other aspects... likely on setting up liaison offices and declaring an end to the Korean War.
But he also confirmed that despite hours of negotiations at the working-level,... the two sides entered their summit without an agreement.
The official insists, however, that the U.S. is still firm in its determination to continue talks and the two sides will meet again to resolve left over issues.
