Sofitel Legend Metropole Hotel cited as one of the most likely venues for Kim-Trump summit

Continuing our pre-summit buildup.
With the Hanoi summit set to start in just over 24 hours from now,... we still don't know for sure where either of the leaders will stay or even the summit venue.
The absence of any form of confirmation has sent the rumor mill into overdrive.
But some crumbs have been dropped that could provide us with some clues.

Nothing's been announced about the summit venues officially.
But the Vietnamese government has provided a rough timeline of when the announcements will be made.
Speaking to reporters on Monday at the International Media Center in Hanoi, an official from the Vietnamese foreign ministry said the details of the summit, including its location, might be revealed to the public sometime on Monday or Tuesday.
Speculation has narrowed the venues down to three.
The one said to be most likely is Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi,... located downtown in the commercial district of Hoan Kiem.
This is a five-star luxury hotel that opened in 1901, and it has a long history of welcoming heads of state and ambassadors.
Security has been tightened in the area.
North Korea's protocol team and its chief Kim Chang-son have visited the hotel multiple times... since they arrived in the Vietnamese capital.
Another possible venue is the government guesthouse.
This is where North Korean officials such as top negotiator Kim Hyok-chol are staying.
Multiple news outlets are reporting that the area is being searched for explosives.
Last but not least, is Hanoi Opera House, located near the guesthouse.
As for accomodations,... North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is expected to stay at the Melia Hanoi,... which is close to the North Korean Embassy.
U.S. President Donald Trump, on the other hand, is likely to stay at the JW Marriott... in the western part of the city.
There's still no detailed summit schedule out either, but it's possible that the meeting between the leaders will last for just one day.
Some news reports have said Kim and Trump will have dinner on Wednesday or watch a performance... before getting to work and signing an agreement on Thursday.
