Taekwondo adopted as part of regular school curriculum in Honduras

Honduras has become the first Latin American country to add taekwondo to its public elementary school curriculum.
According to the South Korean embassy there,… the martial art form has been adopted as a mandatory subject for students of that level.
The classes, taught by local masters rather than Koreans, will be held once or twice a week... for about 1-thousand-8-hundred students at 15 elementary schools.
Taekwondo has become an immensely popular sport in Honduras, second only to soccer.
