President Donald Trump said Friday local time,... that trade talks with China are going very well and the U.S. is closer than ever... to having a "real" trade deal.
His comments came after two days of high-level talks wrapped up in Beijing .
Negotiations are set to continue next week in Washington... aimed at signing a memorandum of understanding before the March 1st deadline.
Trump also added that he may extend the current deadline to accommodate a deal... and freeze tariffs on Chinese goods.
Chinese state media The People’s Daily reported on Saturday... that the talks have made important progress, injecting new impetus into the next stage of development of bilateral relations.
