Boeing completes first test flight of its driverless flying taxi

It looks like flying cars might soon be a reality.
Aircraft maker Boeing has successfully completed the first test flight of its autonomous electric aircraft in Virginia.
The machine can take off vertically, hover and land, but is yet to fly forward.
The test comes just about a year after Boeing started developing the aircraft.
Boeing said when the prototype is finished, it will have a range of 80 kilometers and serve as an "urban air taxi" that shuttles passengers across town in situations where ground transportation is slow or impractical.
