President Moon Jae-in continues his push to make the country a fairer place for both businesses and consumers.
Once again, he emphasized the importance of the country's big conglomerates having a more responsible attitude.

President Moon Wednesday called for a stronger push from the government to expand the benefits of fair trade -- not just for businesses but for consumers -- saying it's a step towards innovation and growth.
Holding the second Economy Strategy Meeting, focusing on fair trade, the president praised the government's progress so far based on indicators showing a boost in fair trade last year.
And he stressed that those improvements and benefits need to reach ordinary citizens.
"This year, more than anything, we must find ways to protect the rights of consumers so the people can realize the benefits of fair trade."
He then ordered the economy-related ministers to review business activities in finance, communications and e-commerce and then draw up an improvement plan.
The president also had something to say to the country's big conglomerates -- calling for them to adopt a more responsible attitude,... which he said will help ensure their own future growth.
He said it's essential -- even for the innovation of and growth of big companies -- that they prosper together with smaller ones and with ordinary people.
"Fairness is the foundation of innovation, and it's what enables individuals to show what they can do. What our society has to do is to recognize, respect, applaud and encourage people's abilities as a matter of course."
Fair trade is one of the Moon administration's three major economic pillars along with the people-centered economy and income-led growth.
President Moon has been busy this year getting the economy back on track as a whole, and doing so while keeping an eye on things at the local level.
