The South Korean government beat its target last year for tax revenue.
Data are out for last November, showing that in fact it collected 104 percent of its target for the whole year.
It was also more than in the same period of 2017.
The finance ministry said Thursday that the government collected tax worth 2-hundred-50-point-2 billion U.S. dollars.
That's nearly 11 billion more than the yearly goal and an on-year increase of 25 billion.
Revenues rose because more people paid their estimated tax in advance... and because higher oil prices raised more value added tax.
